Chapter 102: Surah At-Takathur (Rivalry in Piling Wealth)

Chapter 102: Surah At-Takathur (سورة التكاثر)
Meaning: Rivalry in Piling Wealth | Has 8 Verses | Revealed In: Mecca (Makki Surah)
1. أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ
You have been distracted by worldly competition,
2. حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ
Until you visit the graves (i.e., until death comes to you).
3. كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
No! You will soon know.
4. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Again, no! You will soon come to know.
5. كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ
No! If only you knew with certainty.
6. لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ
You would surely see the Hellfire.
7. ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
8. ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ
Then, on that Day, you will surely be asked about every blessing.
