Meaning: The Relief | Has 8 Verses | Revealed In: Mecca (Makki Surah)
1. أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ
Have We not opened your chest for you [O Prophet]?
2. وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ
And removed from you your burden—
3. ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ
Which had weighed so heavily on your back—
4. وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ
And raised high your mention [among people].
5. فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا
So, surely with hardship comes ease.
6. إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا
Indeed, with hardship comes ease.
7. فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ
So when you have finished \[your duties], then stand up \[for worship].
8. وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب
And direct your longing to your Lord.
