This incident is from last month (November 2025). A client approached us who had registered a private limited company in 2023, but had not carried out any business activity since then. Recently, they received a project and wanted to restart the company’s operations. However, for the past two years, they had not filed any statutory compliances such as ROC and Income Tax filings. Because of this, penalties had accumulated.
When the client contacted their Chartered Accountant (CA), who had originally registered the company, the CA quoted a total cost of ₹90,000 to complete all pending compliances, including penalties. The client was not willing to pay such a high amount and requested a discount or an alternative solution. However, the CA clearly stated that the amount would have to be paid in full.
Having no other option, the client contacted us through one of our acquaintances. We listened to their case carefully and provided them with the right guidance. Our Chartered Accountant consultant, who works with us, advised that at this stage only basic compliances could be completed, which would cost just ₹15,000. The remaining penalties could be waived through proper procedures. They also informed us that getting the penalties waived might take up to a year, but it is possible with consistent effort.
In this way, we reduced the client’s total expense from ₹90,000 to just ₹15,000, which also included our CA’s professional fees.
