Calling yourselves (muslims) oppressed, may lead to Jahannum

Assalamualaikum,
Today I was discussing on some topics with a Non-Muslim brother. He pointed one beautiful ayah from Quran. Though he was using in wrong context. It really touched my heart.
He said, Muslims In India always say that, they are being oppressed by hindus. And to speak the truth, most Muslims on social media or politics often say this word, "muzalmano per zulm hora (muslims are being oppressed)" in India. This ayah gives a serious warning to those who use these words or feel such way.
Another slogan mostly used is "musalmano ko insaaf hona (muslims need justice)" against the governments. Since when Muslims have started demanding justice form the governments and politicians. We are suppose to ask from Allah. And work hard to establish justice. It is the duty of Muslims to establish justice in this world, but not begging from others.

This ayah serves as a warning against using false excuses for remaining in sinful environments. If you feel oppressed, you leave the land and go. If not, you stay here and be steadfast in belief in Allah. We are not suppose to complain.“Those whose souls the angels take while they had wronged themselves, the angels say to them: ‘In what state were you?’ They reply: ‘We were oppressed in the land.’ The angels say: ‘Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate in it?’ For such, their refuge is Jahannam. What an evil destination that is!’” (Surah An‑Nisa 4:97)
