The Purpose Of Muslims is to Establish Peace & Justice in this World

Being born a Muslim doesn’t guarantee you to be a True Muslim. In order to become a True Muslim, you need to follow obligations set by Islam. Else, you will be considering yourself a Muslim, but Allah may not consider so.

The Purpose Of Muslims is to Establish Peace & Justice in this World

Post by muslimsforum Verified »

"You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient." (Surah Aal-E-Imran (3), Ayah 110)
Islam provides a comprehensive framework for justice, ethics, and morality, guiding individuals toward a society that is peaceful, fair, and balanced. Every Muslim has a responsibility to uphold these principles and contribute positively to their community and the world. This article explores how Muslims can play a pivotal role in building a just and ethical society.
"Indeed, Allah commands justice, and good conduct, and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality, and bad conduct, and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded." (Surah An-Nahl, 16:90)
1️⃣ The Foundation of Justice in Islam

Justice (Adl) is one of the core principles of Islam. The Qur’an repeatedly emphasizes the importance of fairness and integrity in all aspects of life.

📖 Allah says in the Quran:
“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:58)
🔹 Islam teaches that justice should be applied without bias, regardless of race, wealth, or social status. 🔹 The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was known for his fair dealings and insisted that justice be upheld even if it was against one’s own family.

✅ How Muslims Can Promote Justice:

(a) Stand against oppression and injustice in any form.
(b) Speak the truth, even if it is difficult.
(c) Ensure fair treatment in workplaces, schools, and personal relationships.

2️⃣ Ethics & Morality: The Backbone of Society

A just society cannot exist without strong moral values. Islam emphasizes honesty, kindness, humility, and sincerity.
📖 The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“The most beloved of people to Allah is the one who brings the most benefit to others.” (Al-Muʻjam al-Awsaṭ 6192)
✅ How Muslims Can Promote Ethical Values:

(a) Practice honesty in business and daily dealings.
(b) Avoid corruption and unfair practices.
(c) Treat others with kindness and respect, regardless of differences.
(d) Be a role model for the next generation through good conduct.

3️⃣ Social Responsibility: Caring for the Community

Islam teaches that every individual is responsible for the well-being of their community. A truly ethical society ensures that the needs of all are met, especially the poor and vulnerable.
📖 Allah says in the Quran:
“And they give food, in spite of love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, [saying], ‘We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.'” (Surah Al-Insan 76:8-9)
✅ How Muslims Can Serve Society:

(a) Give Zakat (charity) and support those in need.
(b) Volunteer in social welfare programs.
(c) Establish educational initiatives to empower others.
(d) Help in community development projects.

4️⃣ Promoting Peace & Unity

A just society thrives on peace, unity, and mutual respect. Islam strongly condemns hatred, division, and violence.
📖 Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“Shall I not tell you of something that if you do it, you will love one another? Spread peace between yourselves.” (Sahih Muslim 54)
✅ How Muslims Can Promote Peace:

(a) Avoid discrimination and treat everyone fairly.
(b) Encourage dialogue and understanding between communities.
(c) Condemn violence and extremism.
(d) Work towards interfaith harmony and cooperation.

5️⃣ Justice in Governance & Leadership

Islamic teachings emphasize that leaders must be just, honest, and serve their people selflessly.
📖 Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“The most beloved of people to Allah is the just ruler.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 1329)
✅ How Muslims Can Ensure Just Leadership:

(a) Elect honest leaders who serve for the people’s well-being.
(b) Hold those in power accountable for their actions.
(c) Avoid bribery and corruption in politics and administration.
(d) Promote policies that support justice and social welfare.
