Meaning: The Fig | Has 8 Verses | Revealed In: Mecca (Makki Surah)
1. وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ
By the fig and the olive,
2. وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
And [by] Mount Sinai,
3. وَهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ
And this secure city [of Makkah]—
4. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ
We certainly created man in the best form.
5. ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَـٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَـٰفِلِينَ
Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low—
6. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ
Except those who believe and do righteous deeds — for they will have a reward never ending.
7. فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ
So what yet causes you to deny the Judgment?
8. أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
Is not Allah the Wisest of Judges?
