Hyderabad, India — Muslims Forum firmly condemns the recent comments made by a Muslim individual in Hyderabad referring to members of another faith with the statement: "These people worship stones." Such remarks are not only deeply disrespectful but also go against the core teachings of Islam, which promote mutual respect, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
As a platform dedicated to uniting Muslims globally on the basis of genuine knowledge and ethical behavior, Muslims Forum strongly believes that no faith should be ridiculed or demeaned. The Qur’an itself commands believers to avoid insulting others' deities, lest they respond in ignorance and hostility.
Our words must reflect wisdom, compassion, and dignity — not hatred or division. It's very unfortunate, Muslims today take pride in insulting others, which is strictly against the teachings of Islam.O believers!˺ Do not insult what they pray besides Allah or they will insult Allah spitefully out of ignorance.(Quran 6:108)
India is a land of religious diversity, and the strength of its people lies in mutual respect and understanding. Speech that incites division or disrespects any religious belief is not only harmful to societal harmony but also contradicts the principles of Islamic ethics.
Muslims Forum urges scholars, influencers, and community members to communicate thoughtfully, promote mutual respect among faiths, and reflect the true essence of Islam through good character and peaceful behavior.
