Meaning: The Elephant | Has 5 Verses | Revealed In: Mecca (Makki Surah)
1. أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ
Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the army of the elephant?
2. أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ
Did He not make their plot go astray?
3. وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ
And He sent against them flocks of birds,
4. تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
5. فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ
And made them like eaten-up straw.
