Meaning: The Galloping Horses | Has 11 Verses | Revealed In: Mecca (Makki Surah)
1. وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا
By the racing steeds (a horse being ridden), panting,
2. فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا
And striking sparks of fire (with their hooves),
3. فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا
And charging at dawn,
4. فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا
Raising clouds of dust,
5. فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا
Penetrating into the midst of the enemy host (during war).
6. إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ
Indeed, mankind is ungrateful to his Lord.
7. وَإِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ
And indeed, he himself is a witness to that.
8. وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
And he is truly extreme in his love for wealth.
9. أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ
But does he not know that when what is in the graves is scattered,
10. وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ
And what is in the hearts is laid bare (before)
11. إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌ
Indeed, their Lord on that Day will be fully aware of them.
