Recently, news broke that Khan Sir of Patna, the beloved teacher and popular educator, has entered into Nikah (marriage) — Alhamdulillah!
In a world where fame often leads people away from simplicity and Islamic values, Khan Sir’s marriage is a powerful reminder of the necessity, and Simplicity of Nikah.
Marriage Is a Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged marriage not just as a means of companionship, but as a foundation for a moral, stable, and peaceful society. By getting married, Khan Sir has aligned himself with this noble prophetic tradition, showing the youth that success in life should not make us neglect our Deen."Marriage is part of my Sunnah, and whoever does not follow my Sunnah has nothing to do with me.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 1846)
We have personally watched his videos about his marriage and valima and found some interesting things which are as per Sunnah
(a) The nikah was a low key affair and no one was invited except the close family
(b) Khan sir did not take any dowry and accepted only few traditional gifts like Water Pot, Fan, Prayer Mat & Quran
(c) The Valima was done in a grand way and according to Sunnah. Though not many people were invited even in Valima
(d) The bride was in complete veil which was special attraction of marriage
we have extracted a small clip form his reception video as shown below
