Post by islamicforum Verified »

"Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakeel" (Arabic: حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ) translates to:
"God alone is sufficient for us, and He is the finest guardian of our affairs."
Importance of Reciting *Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakeel*

1. Expression of Tawakkul (Reliance on Allah):
This phrase is a powerful declaration of putting full trust in Allah in all situations, especially when facing hardship or opposition.

2. Qur’anic Origin and Prophetic Practice:

It appears in the Qur'an (Surah Al-Imran 3:173):
*"When others warned them, saying, 'A great force has assembled against you, so be afraid,' it only strengthened their faith, and they replied, 'Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best One to rely on.'”

* The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is known to have recited it in times of distress, fear, or uncertainty.

3. Spiritual and Emotional Relief:
Saying it helps calm anxiety, strengthen patience, and remind the believer that Allah is fully aware and in control of all matters.

4. Protection and Divine Support:
Believers recite it seeking protection, especially in moments of danger, fear, or when facing oppression or injustice. It is a form of du‘a (supplication) that invites divine support and intervention.

5. Reward and Virtue:
Repeating this phrase regularly can be a source of great reward, aligning the heart with deep faith and inviting Allah’s mercy and guidance.

6. A Reminder of Allah’s Power:
It affirms that no matter how overwhelming a problem may seem, Allah's power and plan surpass all human threats or limitations.
