Muslims Forum expresses its deepest grief, outrage, and condemnation over the heartbreaking and inhumane rape of a 6-year-old girl in Karnataka by father of an Muslim cleric. The incident was reported on 4th June 2025. The accused by name Mafuz is aged about 55 Years. He lured the baby girl with chocolates and raped in a secluded room in the mosque premises. This act is not only a brutal crime against an innocent child but a direct violation of all moral, human, and Islamic values.
As a platform that upholds the truth and social justice, Muslims Forum stands in solidarity with the victim and her family, and we demand swift and exemplary justice.
A Call for Accountability and Reform
This incident is not an isolated tragedy — it reflects a growing moral crisis in society. We urge:
(a) The Karnataka government and law enforcement to act with urgency, arrest the guilty, and ensure strict punishment under law.
(b) The judiciary to fast-track the case and send a strong message that crimes against children will not be tolerated.
(c) The media to act responsibly and protect the identity and dignity of the victim and her family.
Islam’s Stand on Sexual Crimes and Child Protection
Islam considers the protection of children to be one of the highest priorities of a just society. Sexual abuse is a grave sin and a criminal offense.
Perpetrators of such heinous crimes deserve the harshest punishment, as prescribed in Islamic law, and must be held accountable without delay or bias. According to the saying's of Prophet Mohammed ﷺ, such people are not from the Muslim Community.“Whoever does not show mercy to our young and respect to our elders is not one of us.”
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sunan At-Tirmidhi)
A Message to Society and Parents
Muslims Forum calls on all communities — Muslim and non-Muslim — to:
(a) Be vigilant in protecting children at home, school, and in society.
(b) Teach children about body safety and their right to say NO to any inappropriate behavior.
(c) Encourage a culture where victims are supported, not shamed or silenced.
We urge religious leaders, teachers, and community heads to speak out, raise awareness, and work towards making our neighborhoods safe for all children.
Stand for Justice. Stand with the Victim.
This is not just a crime against one child — this is a wound on the soul of our society. If we do not raise our voices, we become part of the silence that allows such evil to thrive.
Muslims Forum will continue to stand for truth, justice, and the protection of the innocent, as part of our mission rooted in the teachings of Islam.
